MI&Co The Portrait Studio are Yorkshires Premier independent family portrait studio. This is a very rare and exciting opportunity for the right individual(s) to join a well-established company and growing team, where you will have career development, stability and be proud to be a part of.

Minimum starting salary equivalent (for full time option) of between £20,000 to £23,000. Plus bonuses once trained. Salary may be negotiated for very experienced candidates wishing to transfer from other studios based on relevant skills and experience.



As you will see from our three job titles in the header we are looking for a variety of skillsets which may be found all within one person or may be a combination of candidates, some full time and some part time. Below is a list of some of the key daily tasks which we are looking for talented individuals to deliver upon, with the right on the job training from our team.

· Taking portraits of a wide range of families and age groups from new-borns, babies to couple shoots, generation shoots and often also often including the family pet

· Editing images and creating a presentation ready for customer viewings.

· Producing finished work through Adobe Photoshop ready for printing and framing at our lab

· Viewing sales (selling high quality finished products and frames to customers to suit their individual home interior, taste and budgets

.Quality checking of customer orders and frames.

.Potential to overlap in other areas of the business such as sales and marketing.

.Assistance in other areas of the business from admin duties to customer services in between gaps in the studio appointments diary.


The position is very diverse, creative, and rewarding and the studio and the team environment is second to none. For the right candidate, this role has plenty of potential to develop within our growing business with continued training and support .



· Outstanding people skills with excellent verbal communication

· You need to be extremely good with people of all ages, but especially children.

· Past studio experience with a good understanding of studio flash and lighting techniques

· Good eye for detail and creative composition

· A reasonable understanding of Adobe Photoshop with at least 3 years’ experience

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

· Confident, with an outgoing personality with a highly positive attitude

· Exceptional customer service skills

· Quick learner, able to take on feedback and drive own progression with our support

· Team player who can also work independently

· Must live locally (Leeds/Bradford/Aire Valley area) or within approx. 40 minutes commute to our studio

Please note the photographer role typically requires a good level of fitness – as there is a lot of running around the studio in order to make kids laugh and get the best shots.
